Apple Cider Vinegar - ACV

Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) as it’s called for short, is made from two simple ingredients: freshly pressed apples and yeast. During the fermentation process that creates ACV, the yeast turns sugar into alcohol. Next, bacteria turn alcohol into acetic acid and carbon dioxide – what we know as vinegar. The magic of ACV lies in its three main components: pectin (a type of soluble plant fiber), acetic acids (powerful organic compounds which give it its distinct taste and smell), and enzymes (naturally occurring proteins that trigger chemical reactions). Apple cider vinegar can be used as a digestive aid, to reduce bloating and gas; it also is believed to relieve indigestion, heartburn and constipation. Drinking apple cider vinegar with water before meals may help stimulate appetite or correct food intolerance issues.
